Story of the Painting
"I painted this painting from an Iris I grew in my garden. It might be “Beverly Sills,” but I am not sure. It was certainly a magnificent flower and I wanted to show the tight bud, the opening blossom, and the fully open bloom. It was a pleasure to behold, study, and paint. It was easy to understand why Iris have been a source of fascination for centuries throughout the world. This painting is available and for sale; call me to inquire." |
